Had a great trip with the help of Blowes Travel & Cruise Centres Inc.?

We were quite pleased with the trip Heather, though as expected the getting there and getting back were quite challenging. The flights were good and we'd fly Cathay Pacific anytime, though the crew on the last flight home wasn't up to the first three. The trip down took us about 34 hours to get to Adelaide, including the drive to Toronto.
The Kangaroo Island excursion was one of the highlights for us. It was the most 'natural' of all of our excursions. We had a great guide (Gary, who has lived on the island his whole life) took us on an 'off the beaten path' showing us more of what he liked about the island. The aboriginal exhibit at the Museum of South Australia in Adelaide was another highlight, and it was free!
The other Australian excursions were all good. Often there was an hour or two of driving from the hotel just to get to the 'objective' of the excursion but the benefit was that we got to see more of the country rather than the cities, which is what we were after. The other highlight was the Sydney Opera House, which we toured. A marvel of engineering and an interesting story as well.
The hotels were good, very well situated and quite comfortable. The weather in Australia was perfect - no rain, mostly sunny, just a little too toasty on a couple of days.
The cruise was quite enjoyable as well. The ship was in top shape, having the balcony was great, service was very good, food was good though it was a little too plentiful for us and we had the best stateroom steward ever. Weather was pretty much perfect with only a few showers in the Sounds and some sprinkles around Dunedin. We couldn't have asked for better. The excursion to see the Royal Albatross Centre outside Dunedin was a highlight as was the Hobitton excursion and Maori ceremonial event.
We don't think we could pull this trip off again, but all the planning paid off for us this time. Thanks for all your help and input. I consulted the itinerary you provided us with, pretty much every day in preparation for the next day(s) and it proved invaluable. The Goway itinerary was also quite helpful and well organized.

Our family had an awesome trip. The resort was exactly what I had hoped it would be. Food was delicious with lots of variety. Overall we would give the food a 9+.
Beach was long and beautiful. Lots of white sand and shells for the kids to pick. A short walk down the beach we found a spot where the kids could walk out and feed fish that swam around them. Also, large man-made rock enclosure that some of them jumped off and cannon-balled into the ocean.
Rooms were very decent in size, very clean and well stocked each day. No complaints about the beds and mine was super comfy even the pillows too. The balconies were also a good size and could fit about 8 chairs.
The WiFi was terrific.
Staff was very friendly and the entertainment was great. They had a bubble/foam party in the pool and all my guys had a blast. Also, there was all the normal pool activities and lots of little games for the kids and adults. No problems getting seats around the pool.
The kids loved the bowling and water park. They also enjoyed shuffleboard, table tennis, swings, and the hammocks.
I had kids that didn't want to come home until they realized Mommy and Daddy were leaving. One of my best answers to my favourite question, "What was your favourite thing about the holiday?" Nate, with a huge smile replied "EVERYTHING".
Put it this way, Monica. We all loved it enough that I am now saving for the next one.
Thanks again for finding this little paradise for us.
Thanks Karen for your advice and service!

We were not disappointed and we would & do highly recommend the company & the 15 day Shamrock Royal tour.
The transport bus was a Mercedes, clean & comfortable. Every hotel (newer or old style) were with employee's I refer to as formal in service of its clients. Rooms were large more often than not, beds were comfortable & breakfasts had many cold or hot choices. The tour guide, driver & site guides were well experienced & prepared throughout. We had exceptionally clear, sunny, & warm weather.
The 15 days were packed with action. There was so much to see & the days flew by. I could go on & on but I imagine I may have overdone it by now. Thanks Karen for your advice and service, we will be back!
